I grew up in Sydney, Australia, where I spent the early years of my professional life building a career in sales.

By my mid-twenties, I’d worked my way into a senior sales position. On paper, things were going well. I had a stable career, a good income and opportunities to continue progressing.

But the truth was, I wasn’t particularly happy with the direction my life was heading. While I appreciated the experience and the people I’d met along the way, I found the work increasingly unfulfilling. I struggled to imagine myself following the same career path for another ten or twenty years.

I’d always wanted to build something of my own, but for a long time, it was something I kept putting off. In October 2025, at 26, I finally decided to make a change. I resigned from my job, left Sydney and moved to Bali.

I didn’t have everything figured out. I was leaving behind the security of a familiar career to start over in a new environment, without a clear business plan or knowing exactly what the future would look like. But I knew I wanted something different: the freedom to build a life on my own terms, experience new things and pursue something I was genuinely passionate about.

How VITA LAB Began

Fitness had already been an important part of my life for several years. I’d spent countless hours in the gym working towards my own strength and fitness goals, and genuinely enjoyed the challenge of getting stronger and seeing the results of consistent effort.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with personal trainers across Australia, Singapore, India and Indonesia. Looking back, one thing has been consistent: I’ve always seen my best results when working with a personal trainer. It wasn’t simply about having someone tell me which exercises to do.

Having a trainer removed much of the mental effort that comes with planning workouts, questioning whether you’re doing the right exercises or figuring out how to make progress. Instead of walking into the gym wondering what I should be doing, I could focus on showing up, putting in the work and improving.

Personal training also gave me accountability. Like anyone else, I’ve had days when I haven’t felt particularly motivated to train. Having someone expecting me to show up made it easier to stay consistent. That experience shaped how I think about fitness: good coaching provides clear direction, removes unnecessary mental friction and helps you stay accountable when motivation isn’t there.

After moving to Bali, I became more involved in the local fitness community, visiting gyms, meeting trainers and learning about different approaches to training. The more I learned, the more I considered how to turn something I genuinely enjoyed and had personally benefited from into a business. That was where the idea for VITA LAB began.

I wanted to create a fitness transformation service combining professional coaching, structured training, nutritional guidance and personal accountability. Rather than simply offering a gym membership or workout plan, VITA LAB would support clients throughout their transformation with a structured program and guidance from experienced professionals. My vision was to create the kind of experience I’d found most valuable in my own fitness journey.

Building Something I’m Proud Of

My professional background is in sales and business development, where I gained valuable experience working with people, understanding their needs and building relationships. Although I ultimately found that career unfulfilling, it taught me skills I believe will be valuable as I build VITA LAB.

I want clients to feel respected, receive personal attention and know that we’re invested in helping them achieve their goals. As founder, my responsibility is to bring together qualified fitness professionals, create a positive client experience and ensure we consistently deliver a high standard of service.

I’m ambitious about what I want VITA LAB to become, while understanding that a strong reputation has to be earned. I believe in being honest, taking responsibility for my decisions and treating others with the respect I’d expect in return. I want these standards to guide how VITA LAB operates, from the people we work with to the experience we provide our clients.

Looking Ahead

My goal is to build VITA LAB into a respected fitness transformation business, starting here in Bali. I want it to deliver meaningful results, build lasting relationships and give people a positive experience. I hope VITA LAB will be known not only for the physical transformations we help people achieve, but also for the quality of our coaching, the attention we give clients and the trust we build along the way.

Looking back, leaving my career in Sydney was one of the biggest decisions I’ve made.

It meant walking away from something secure to pursue something uncertain.

But it also gave me the opportunity to build a business around something I genuinely enjoy and believe in.

And ultimately, I want to build something that I’m proud to put my name behind.
